Writing to describe: Produce a piece of writing that describes an ordinary event in an extraordinary way.
				Seamus Heaney clearly demonstrated that you can take an ordinary job, such as churning butter, and use language to make it seem extraordinary. You are going to write a description. You need to choose something that you do everyday, such as: watch television, prepare and eat breakfast or walk to school. You need to use some of the techniques that you have seen Heaney use to bring your description alive. Do not try to write a poem, write in sentences and paragraphs. However, focus your attention on every single word you choose and every piece of punctuation.
